In order to emerge new innovative products or to realize customer specific requirements, Groschopp maintains research and development departments with high qualified staff. Those flexible and interdisciplinary working groups consist of specialists not only from the research and development but also from production, product management and sales.

The target of the groups is to identify new technologies, to assess and to utilize in terms of innovations. This does not only apply to new product developments but also for integrated customer specific solutions.

The specialist make use of very latest software and analysis method for precise simulation, planning and development.  In the run-up the electrical drive layouts will be calculated, mechanical loads, heating calculations and flow distributions by means of finite element programs (FEM and FMEA) simulated and the motor design is completed on 2D and 3D CAD systems. As a result customer specific solution are compiled within a short time.

The specialists are supported through a dedicated equipped prototype department and laboratory. This allow them a rapid prototyping of new designs, as well as extensive trial run and long-term testing  of the drive systems during the development phase.
