Clean drinking water thanks to intelligent agitator technology:

Groschopp stainless steel motors keep things moving

To ensure that drinking water remains fresh and free of germs, it must be stirred regularly in storage tanks. If this is not done, layers form that promote the growth of algae and subsequent contamination. To prevent this, agitators are used in drinking water storage tanks. Groschopp AG Drives & More from Viersen provides a reliable drive with a stainless steel motor.

INVENT Umwelt- und Verfahrenstechnik AG, based in Erlangen, develops innovative systems for water and wastewater treatment. Its HYPERMIX agitator ensures that large quantities of water are mixed evenly, thus preventing stratification in drinking water storage tanks. All components of the agitator meet the high hygiene and cleanliness requirements of food production.

This also applies to the drive, which is why the manufacturer equips its agitators with stainless steel motors from Groschopp. The motors with integrated planetary gearboxes have been specially developed for hygiene-critical areas in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries and are resistant to corrosion and aggressive chemicals that are typically used to clean equipment in the food and drinking water sectors. They are available in various sizes as synchronous or asynchronous motors for specific applications.

Smooth surfaces without dirt traps

The robust ESKH80-80NR stainless steel motor from Groschopp meets high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. It has no corners, edges, or cavities, and all inner and outer radii are consistently larger than 3 mm. The dead space-free housing has no weld seams or screws and features rounded transitions, preventing the formation of dirt pockets where residues or germs can accumulate. The surface roughness is less than Ra 0.8 µm – ideal for easy cleaning.

The integrated planetary gearbox of the ESKH80-80NR is completely enclosed in a stainless steel housing and achieves protection class IP69K – this means that the motor is optimally protected against moisture, even in continuous underwater use. The combination of robust construction and integrated gear technology allows for a particularly compact, durable, and economical design.

Compact, powerful, and customizable

In addition to their hygienic design, Groschopp stainless steel motors also impress with their high performance. The convection-cooled synchronous motor installed in the agitator delivers a nominal torque of 1.85 Nm at a nominal speed of 3000 min⁻¹. The bearing covers and stainless steel cable gland have been precisely adapted to the requirements of the application – for clean drinking water and maximum operational safety.
